MCOMS (Manipal College of Medical Sciences), Nepal was recognized in the year 1994. This institute is the result of partnership between the Manipal Group as well as Government of Nepal. The college is affiliated with Kathmandu University and renowned across the world. MCOMS is extended institute for the students across globe. MCOMS is given recognition by Medical Councils of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Mauritius, and Bangladesh, and, in addition the New York State Medical Board and California Medical Boards, and International Medical Education Directory of the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates), that holds United States Medical Licensing Exam. This college is also accepted by BCSAP (British Columbia Student Assistance Program), Canada. MCOMS has the multi-cultural student base having students calling over from India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Middle East, Singapore, United States, Canada, Kenya, Australia, and New Zealand.

Eligibility

• At least passing marks in the English (E), 50% in the Physics (P), the Chemistry(C) and the Biology (B) all together (PCB and PCBE), and minimum 50% marks in 10+2 or comparable examination.

• S/he needs to have completed the 17 years age at time of beginning the classes. No upper age-limit is given.

• If the student has section in any subject, his /her marks, which s/he obtained in passing attempt, are measured for the calculating eligibility.

No entrance exam is organized for the foreign students or non-Nepalese citizens. Candidates can download application form and mail it to college in Nepal as early as possible. Admissions for the fee-paying Nepalese-students are via Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel as it holds the written medical entrance exam known as KUMET for all the Nepali students, desiring to enroll in MBBS Degree program.
