In the year 1979, M. S. RAMAIAH MEDICAL COLLEGE appeared and since then the college has grown into an institute of great reputation in the entire country and abroad. The main college is having huge space with a total floor space of three lakh square feet with an overall capacity of accommodating 1050 patients at a time. M. S. RAMAIAH MEDICAL COLLEGE offers wide range of clinical specialties, latest methods for diagnostic diseases and has all features of a modern hospital. M. S. In the new block, M. S. RAMAIAH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL all super specialties related to medicine is available. Department of Cardiology has a devoted Heart Rhythm Management unit with Electro-physiological department for three dimension mapping and Ablation. Department of radio analysis is having full fledge facilities like Color Doppler Unit, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography and Helical CT scanning. Heart bypass surgery and valve replacement are done on a routine basis under Cardio-thoracic department. Some specialty department exists in Oncology, Cardiology, Cardio-Thoracic, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Paediatric Surgery.
M. S. Ramaiah Medical College provides UG MBBS programme of 4 ½ years of duration with a mandatory one-year internship programme and PG course in all paramedical courses like MD/PG Diploma/MS.
