HIHT University MBBS AdmissionThe Himalayan Institute of Hospital Trust (HIHT) was founded by Shri Swami Rama who was from United States. This trust later in the year 1994, this trust also constructed HIHT University which also attached to the hospital constructed by trust. With just small term courses in health related subjects, university also started PG Programs in various medical specialties from 2001. And in the year 2004, this PG course got the recognition from Medical Council of India. Apart from PG course, this university also offers degree courses in medical field.
The MBBS course offered in this university provides students good knowledge about various medical segment with the help of both practical and theory way. It is a 4yrs of course where 30 percent of seats is being reserved for Uttrakhand students. Students are being also provided with internship in medical field.
Admission Criteria:
• Candidate need to be 10+2 pass out with at least 60% marks in PCB. Also need to appear for state level medical exam also with university conducted exam.
• Candidate who is currently appearing for the 12th exam can also apply for the entrance exam for MBBS course
Examination Pattern:
The Pre-Medical Entrance Examination is an objective type exam with 200 questions. Marks are being divided into Physics- 40, Chemistry-60 and Biology-100. Duration of the exam is 150 minutes. Candidate need to score at least 50% to get into further procedure.
Application Procedure:
The course starts from the month of August after completing the counseling which takes place in June/July. The information brochure along with application form is provided from the month January and also is advertised in Newspaper. The same can also be obtained through post by paying Rs1250/- through DD drawn under the favor of HIHT University payable at SBI.
